The ship's Maiden Voyage (first departure) is currently scheduled for October 20, 2021 (14-night Transatlantic from Europe to Florida), and the inaugural Caribbean departure for November 3rd. On our previous Nieuw Statendam cruise, a gifted classical quintet on the ship’s Lincoln Center Stage played Schumann pieces to heart-tugging effect – stopping casual passers-by in their tracks and luring them in to linger.

Setting sail on its first cruise in 1997, this Rotterdam class ship is based on the 1959 vessel of a similar name and offers spacious accommodations for about 1,404 people.
